About MeHi there! Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Loralea. That's pronounced Laura Lee; my parents decided to get fancy with the spelling! Most people just call me Lora. Less syllables, easier to say :) Who am I? Mother of two boys, military wife, writer, and photographer. Of course, there is much more to me than that, but those are my main "job" descriptions.
What I did: Well, I did a lot of different things. First, I Studied Advertising and Public Relations. Then I went on to get diplomas in Nutrition and Fitness, as well as Dental Assisting. I started a copywriting business, which I then expanded into a Virtual Assistance business. I then started creating online businesses and doing website development for myself. Somewhere in there I managed to get married, move overseas, have two babies, and move back-all before the age of 30. Wow, no wonder I'm tired! What I do now: I own online businesses and assist other business owners with their website development needs. I'm also a photographer and am in the process of starting my own company both online and off. Links to that coming soon! Developing websites is a lot of hard work, but also very rewarding. I write sites such as the one you are reading right now, and provide information that people are looking for in an easy to find and organized way. I'm all about organization, so this really suits me well and I really, really enjoy it- most days. You know how it is. Sometimes you'd rather be at the beach, golfing, taking pictures, or whatever it is that you like to do in your spare time. I love working for myself, even the days when my boss is hard on me :) My working hours are adjustable, so my family has my attention when they need me. One of the best things about being online is the fact that I can take my businesses with me whenever we move. It's hard finding work in new cities, or even countries, every two years or so. Being my own boss means I don't have to anymore. Why a site about Fun Date Ideas? Like you, my husband and I are always asking each other the question "What do you want to do tonight (or this weekend, or today)." So, we started making a list. The list got longer and longer, as we discovered more and more things to do; with our children and without. Some things we wanted to do more than once, like visit our favorite museums, revisit certain area parks or go back to historical sites. The problem with the list was that it was long- really long, since we just added to it as we thought of new ideas. We also kept misplacing whenever we moved and had to start over looking online for ideas . We discovered that when searching online, there weren't any really good dating idea sites. The ones we did find were filled with ads. Ads for certain adult entertainment (definitely not suitable for teens or tweens!) or ads for online dating services; without any real content. Others were just hard to navigate, or didn't have the information we were looking for. So, a family-friendly site was created! We hope that you enjoy reading through it and getting ideas for your own fun dates. Why "We?" Why does everything on the site say we, instead of I? Because I've taken into account the opinions of my children, as well as my husband. My hubby is also the one who helps me brainstorm new ideas, business strategies, and takes care of the books, since I'm math illiterate. This has been a lot of fun- telling you about my family and I- but I'm sure you have other things that you'd like to be doing.
