Sometimes it can be hard to think of Valentines Date Ideas that are romantic, inexpensive, or both.
We have a few listed here, as well as some ideas that cost a bit more. Mix and match them to customize a special date for the two of you.
Inexpensive Valentines Date Ideas
Watch the sunrise together.
Start the day off right by enjoying breakfast in bed. If you are serving her breakfast, include her favorite flower in a simple vase. Just one flower will do, as long as it's her favorite (it's the thought of remembering our favorite, not the sheer volume of flowers)
Burn a CD with all of your favorite romantic songs. Listen to them over a romantic dinner at home. You could also make your own Valentines card, with a love poem inside.
Order a pizza for dinner. My husband and I do this every year. If you ask the pizza place in advance, (most) will make a heart shaped crust for you at no extra cost. Rent a movie (doesn't have to be romantic unless you want it to be) and have a relaxing night in.
Enjoy a Valentines picnic. Pack your favorite foods to enjoy in a special place you share. Too cold to be outside? Try inside a museum, or even at home.
Go skating under the moonlight. There are outdoor rinks just about everywhere. We personally like the ones within the city. There's something about being out in the cold with the city lights all around you that say "romance".
Go to all of the special places that the two of you share together. End your Valentines date at the most romantic favorite place you share. Or, at home, where you can cook a romantic meal together.
Watch the sun set and enjoy being together. Valentines Day doesn't have to be complicated.
Valentines Date Ideas that cost a bit more
Go on a horse-drawn sleigh or carriage ride at night. You'll get to see the city lights and stay cozy snuggled under a blanket together. Bring along some wine and enjoy what is probably one of the most romantic valentines dates ideas one the page!
Get a massage together. We mean a professional one, not taking turns. You could both probably use the relaxation and you'll feel amazing afterward! Why not go for an entire day of pampering and relaxation? There are many day spas to choose from.
Book a nice hotel or a bed and breakfast for the night. Have the room ready with her favorite flowers, a book she's been meaning to read, or any other gift you know she wants but hasn't bought. Have wine or champagne, chocolate, and maybe some strawberries ready too! Some of her favorite bubble bath and massage oil would also be good to pack, or to have ready when you arrive.
Visit the Planetarium, if you have one in your city. You get the romance of gazing up at the stars, without having to stay outside, where it is very cold in some parts of the world on Valentines Day!
Get nostalgic. Go to all of the places you did on your first date. The restaurant you ate at, the movie theater you went to, whatever it was that you did. Girls love it when you remember details from the past.
Have your photo professionally taken. Get all dressed up for it, and when you are done, go out to a nice restaurant for dinner.
