Good Date Ideas; things to do when you don't know what to do! Ideas for a date that can be both inexpensive and fun!
Watch construction crews at work. Grab a cup of coffee, or site in a coffee shop or restaurant where there is construction going on across the street. Guys love doing this! The obsession with demolition and big machines never leaves them
Go on an adventure. Pack a lunch and drive around, taking any back roads that you feel like. You never know what you might discover!
Go on a haunted walk. Not just for Halloween, many cities and towns offer these as a fun way to discover the past
Take pictures of each other- or the two of you together- if your camera has a timer. Do fun stuff though, like jumping the the air or off of a chair or stairs. Or have fun light-painting messages to each other!
Create something together if you are the creative types. Make ornaments for Christmas, either for each other or for someone else. Or visit your local dollar store and find craft supplies there. What can you make with popsicle sticks, paint and glue?
Read to each other. Make sure it's a book you'll both enjoy hearing
Sit and people watch at a park, mall, or wherever large groups of people walk past. It's truly amazing what people will say and do in public
Play a video game. Sometimes you can do this for free at your local library. If you can't play there, you may bea able to at least borrow a game- for free!
This is worth checking out. Our local library rents games for all of the popular consoles. They also have a large selection of videos and DVD's available for free
Go swimming in winter. Either outside wearing wetsuits or inside if you have a community indoor pool. Some have water slides, which are lots of fun no matter how old you are
In the Fall, go through a corn maze. A good one should take at least an hour, but some take longer than that. We tried one a few years ago that we were stuck in for 2 1/2 hours, it was that well done.
Corn mazes have really gained popularity over the years, so there's a good chance a farm near you offers one
