Tips to survive a date with the kids:

• Pick child-friendly activities (obviously!)
• Pack extra food (finger food such as crackers, cut up apples and carrots work great!)
• Take along toys
• Baby wipes, even if your children are no longer babies, these are good to have!
• Water bottles. Kids get thirsty and want water right now!
• Change of clothes- because you never know!
• A small first-aid kit- accidents do happen. Keep it in the trunk of your car.
• And of course, don't forget your camera! This is your memory lane you are living, enjoy it!

A date with the kids probably won't be completely smooth. They get tired, they fight, things happen. A perfect day may not be possible, but it's okay.

Enjoy the time you spend together. Before you know it, the kids will be grown and you'll have plenty of time for adult-only dates. You'll look back on these days and wonder where they've gone and how the time passed so quickly.
