CT Bike Tours.Com offers the only guided Bike & Boat tour in Connecticut. A perfect “first date” that easily breaks the ice over a very leisurely 19 miles, we supply the guide, bikes and helmets (if needed) snacks and refreshment and, of course the boat tour. You simply supply the energy.
Mulberry Point
The tour starts from the scenic Guilford Green and takes us out to Mulberry Point, a former artists colony that is now a popular seaside retreat along the Connecticut rocky shore. We’ll pedal past sea estuaries and tidal marshes, where the occasional egret and osprey can be seen, working our way to beautiful Sachems Head.
Along the way, we may also pass some of the locals crabbing for the popular blue crabs found in our tidal flows.
Stony Creek
After a break for some refreshment, we continue onto the seaside village of Stony Creek, where you will board a 45 minute narrated boat tour of the historic and very scenic Thimble Islands on the Long Island Sound, where it is rumored the pirate, Captain Kidd, still has treasure buried!
Sachems Head
After the boat tour, we do a quick 9 miles back to the Guilford Green where you can opt to picnic on the Green or lunch at any one of a number of cafes or restaurants.
The total tour takes about four hours, running on Saturday and Sundays by reservation only.
The minimum age to ride is 16, with tours running from June to mid-October.
Be sure to take advantage of the Couples' Special- and save $25.00! This includes the bike and boat tour, as well as all rentals for both people.
