Fun activities for couples! Things to do without leaving your city or town. Is playing tourist where you live something you've tried? Now is a great time to try that bus tour, take in a local museum or try something tasty at the tea room!

Art Gallery: Attend an opening, or check out an existing one.
Aquarium: Fish are relaxing to watch, and the darkness is romantic (if you are viewing the fish from behind glass at their level)
Botanical Gardens: Again, romantic and very peaceful.
Casino: Opposite of romantic, but can be a lot of fun!
Haunted Spots: This one is a bit unusual. Try going on a haunted walk, if your city offers such a thing.
Horse Racing: Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of your horse winning, or nearly winning!
Magic Shows: Not always just for kids. Watch what you are signing up for though, some shows are just plain terrible.
National Monuments: Learn something new together!
Planetarium: We really love this idea! Very romantic, and you might learn something too!
Spy Shop: Another slightly unusual idea; has potential for a lot of fun and laughter.
Theme Park: Perfect for those adrenaline junkies!
Television Tapings: Not in every city, of course. Tickets are often free, but you need to apply for them in advance, or be willing to wait in line. Sometimes for hours. In the cold. Or snow. Or heat.
UFO Sighting Spots: Another unusual activity. Make sure your date is into this sort of thing first, or it could really backfire on you!
